Women, Life, Freedom
Women, Life, Freedom
Mahsa Amini's death in September 2022 at the hands of Iran's morality police has ignited a powerful movement of protest across Iran and around the world, with millions of Iranians coming together to demand change with the rallying cry of "Woman, Life, Freedom".
As an Iranian woman living and working in Australia, I am deeply connected to my people and their struggle for justice. I presented a Miro board at a cultural meeting to share my understanding and research of the events surrounding Mahsa Amini's death, and my colleagues were moved by the story. Our discussion sparked an exploration of what actions we as a business could take to support positive change around the world.
Continuing to refine the Miro board, I aimed to provide a more complete understanding of the situation. Drawing on my knowledge of Iran's history and culture, I provided a unique perspective that has been distilled to make it accessible to all.
However, for my own safety, I must remain anonymous. If my identity were to be revealed, I wouldn't be able to visit Iran again, and my family's safety, who still live in Iran, could be compromised.
I hope that the Miro board will help to amplify the voices of those on the ground in Iran and encourage support for a better future for all Iranians. Please feel free to use this resource to continue the fight for justice, but do not link it back to me.
