User Research Synthesis

What are the outcomes of research synthesis?

• Extracting raw research data from user research to answer key research questions.

• Generating actionable insights, product recommendations and useful artefacts (e.g. personas, customer journey maps)

When to do it?

After conducting user research that generates a large amount of data to make sense of in order to answer the research objectives.

This would typically mean qualitative research methods such as user interviews and even usability testing.
