Total Domination: Competitive Analysis
Total Domination: Competitive Analysis contains a quick guide and easy-to-use tool that aids you to identify competitors, explore their products, sales, and marketing strategies and compare them to yours.
The ultimate goal? To one day say “All your base are belong to us”.
When to use Total Domination: Competitive Analysis?
Sun Tzu famously said, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
Total Domination: Competitive analysis, works best as a tool which input is provided, used and managed by Product Management, Sales, Customer Support and Marketing teams jointly.
It allows you to better understand key competitors, how your product stacks up to theirs, and whether you should “attack” or “shun” them.
How does Total Domination: competitive analysis work?
Creating a competitive analysis and keeping its content relevant and update date revolves around three steps:
Identifying Key competitors. It is a waste of time & resources to spend energy on every competitor out there. To be successful, requires focus. Select your 5–7 key competitors to focus on.
Research them fanatically. Get all the relevant intel on your key competitors. This means intel on the company, their customers, the product, servicing model and product positioning.
Analyze and Strategize. Analyze the information, complete the competitive analysis template, and decide if you want to attack or shun the competitor.
While using the template, I am rooting for you that, like Sun Tzu, you will say “Opportunities multiply as they are seized.”
