The Basketball Retrospective

Report

🏀 The Basketball Retrospective is a sporty way for the Team to reflect on how to improve their Team System in terms of basketball.

Basketball terms have been added for each reflection area, which adds a different spin and bounce ⛹🏻‍♀️ to a normal Retrospective.

How to use the Basketball Retrospective

  1. Set the Stage: Open the Retro with the check-in exercise. This helps the Team with initial engagement.

  2. Gather the Data: Introduce the Retro and Guide the Team to reflect on the different reflection areas as it pertains to their Team System and current events. Cluster your thoughts & do affinity mapping while you converse.

  3. Gather Insights: The Team will then share and discuss their ideas. The discussion should include an analysis of any problems/issues brought up, as well as any corresponding solutions.

  4. Decide What to Do: Identify the learnings and decide what improvements to make. The Team can use the dots to vote, narrowing down the items they want to work on.

  5. Close the Retro: Summarize the next steps and ask for feedback on how to make the Retrospective better for next time.
