Social Contract

—
The Social Contract is a simple, yet highly effective manner to enable team autonomy and self accountability for engagements. The Social Contract is created by and for the team.
What is it?
A way to enable team autonomy and self accountability for the initiative they are working on:
Created by and for the team
Looks to codify the behaviours and expectations of the team
Provides a mechanism for the team to radiate and share its desired behaviours external stakeholders
An effective social contract is:
Publicly displayed
Nobody is above the contract
The team agreed holds each other accountable to the contract
Revisited and updated as often as necessary.
More information about the Social Contract can be found in the Open Practice Library.
