They not only allow you to spot unnoticed aspects of a problem but, more importantly, they build your character and resilience to face life's hurdles. For instance, if you've personally faced poverty or discrimination, you might have an intimate understanding of these issues, positioning you better to address them.
Remember, no one on this planet has experienced the world exactly the way you have. While this thought may seem humbling, it underscores the importance of human connection.
Our experiences and the values we hold dear often shape our worldview and dictate the issues we find significant. Values can be things we deeply care about, like fairness, compassion, or environmental stewardship. By using our values as a lens for analysis, we can better comprehend how different viewpoints and solutions align with our concerns.
