Problem Prism
What is it
The Problem Prism is a diagnostic tool to unpack the real problems which prevent enterprises from reaching their desired goals.
How it helps
It helps move a team away from a 'solution' or technology first approach and move into the core problems which need resolving.
How it works
Start from the innermost prism and note the overall outcome desired by the team.
In the Middle prism - discuss and note the 3 main issues that are preventing this outcome.
In the third (outer) prism, flip the issue to describe what success would look like if it were resolved.
Finally - outside the third prism - list any 3 steps you need to take in order to achieve the successful outcome you have listed in the Third prism.
What it's not
The problem prism is not a problem-solving tool. Rather - a diagnostic tool that helps you get to the bottom of the problem.
