Prioritising Actions from Research Findings

Report

Converting research findings into actionable recommendations and next steps, and prioritising those actions according to effort required and potential impact, will allow your team to maximise the value of the research.

As researchers, we are highly skilled at drawing out key nuggets of information about the product, service or population we are researching. Sometimes though, those nuggets are not promptly turned into prioritised actions for the team to address.

To ensure we do this with my team, I have created and used a template which allows us to do just that. Used as part of a workshop, ideally with as many project stakeholders and team members as possible, this template allows for the actions to be generated at the same time as a short debrief is given, and for those actions to be assigned a priority rating for completion, as well as an owner for each action.
