Why?
When a company is not performing, its sometimes difficult to pin-point exactly where the root issue lies. Too much finger pointing, too much gut-feel and lack an objective view with input from those 'in the know'
Here's one way to get to a common understanding of what to address
What?
The Operating System Canvas provides a neat 12 point framework to help identify and agree on the common causes of poor organisational performance.
How?
Simply have all those involved or influencing, provide their inputs to each factor, the working and not working columns.
Have the team consolidate and de-duplicate the list. Then vote on the top areas. Finally get to work by having a dialogue to better understand the underlying cause.
