Kanban Board Game

Report

This is an implenentation of a physichal game that you can facilitate in Miro. It's not the same as when playing onsite in a room with all members present, but still a good learning.

I better say it now before you get your hopes up: this game is so much better to play onsite, with printed out material. If you have the possibility, do NOT use this template as an on-line activity.

Yes, I know, why bother reading or even use this one then?

Well, if the team is unable to get together in a room to do this game, this might be the option you have left. It requires a lot from you as a facilitator though, depending on the maturity of the team; rolling of dice, marking the story tasks, filling in the reports etc. However, if you can let the team members do all or some of these things it will ease up your burden in the session.

In whatever scenario you find yourself facilitating this Kanban board game I would strongly suggest to have at least 3 hours of dedicated time to be able to get through it. And still you might find yourself short of time in the end. If you could plan for a 4 hour session you will have a better and more relaxed time with the team, and also the precious time for reflections afterwards.
