Four Forces
—
—
The Four Forces framework, pioneered and developed by Bob Moesta, offers a powerful tool to understand how and when people make decisions to switch between solutions. Part of the Jobs to Be Done theory, Moesta’s model divides decision-making into four forces: the Push of dissatisfaction with the current situation, the Pull of the new solution’s appeal, the Anxiety about change, and the Habits tied to the current solution. This framework helps identify the motivations and barriers that influence choices, making it valuable for guiding strategic decisions
