Design Method for Human Augmentation

Report

The Design Method for Human Augmentation (DMHA) is developed to introduce designers to the rapidly emerging field of human augmentation, which focuses on technologies that improve human abilities. The primary intention of the DMHA is to stimulate innovation while ensuring the ethical development of future design concepts for the augmented human. More specifically, the objective of the DMHA is threefold:

  1. To encourage prospect product designers to explore the field of human augmentation more deeply,

  2. To facilitate ideation and stimulate creativity on what the future could look like for the augmented human.

  3. To prompt reflection on potential ethical and moral consequences of their conceived idea(s).
