Design Thinking: Observation

Report

This Design Thinking Foundations Activity focuses on observing real-world user experiences or problems. First, participants choose a location near the problem or experience they want to observe (Step 1). After obtaining consent and de-identifying users for privacy (Step 2), they conduct a 30-minute observation (Step 3). The goal is to note behaviors, successes, and pain points users encounter (Step 4), providing valuable insights for problem-solving and user-centered design. This activity fosters empathy and helps teams understand users' real-world challenges.
