Deep Pictures Original Cards Icebreaker

Report

A simple but deep icebreaker

This template by metaFox Coaching Tools (https://metaFox.eu) provides you with a quick warm-up in the beginning of a meeting, workshop or coaching session.

As a facilitator, use this to enable participants

  • to experience self-efficacy by choosing a picture

  • to speak up and establish psychological safety

  • share how they feel and take a new perspective.

How to the warm-up

  1. Welcome participants to your session and announce that you'll start with a brief warm-up to help everyone to arrive and get a sense of how everyone is doing.

  2. Ask participants to take a breath and review the 12 photos on the board. Which describes best how they are here?

  3. Optional: Invite participants to take one of the Name-Tag post-its, write their name, and place it above "their" picture.

  4. Take turns in presenting everyone's picture: What do they see, and how does it describe them today?

If you are working with a larger group (10+), consider using breakouts of 4-8 people for the presentation round.
