What is this canvas?

The Initial Persona template is a canvas that provides an initial overview of your user. Your customer base will feature various user types (personas), who will differ not just in demographics but other aspects: behavior, interests, dreams, pain points, and struggles. Based on your current knowledge, you will draft assumptionsabout this persona and their needs, which will allow you to formulate your empathetic data gathering approach.

Why use this canvas?

1. Creates empathy for your users by understanding who they are and how that impacts their needs

2. Allows for a targetedempathetic gathering approach by allowing you to frame the right mindset of what type of information you need from your users to tackle the problem effectively.
