A causal loop diagram is a visual representation that helps you understand the cause-and-effect connection. It works when people work together to create and collaborate to unlock a shared understanding of a problem.

This template will guide you through the 5 steps needed to create a causal loop diagram:

  1. Name system variables;

  2. Fill in the verbs by linking the variables;

  3. Label the loops;

  4. Talk through the loop;

  5. Break the loop.
