Books and Readers Retro
Retrospective inspired by World Books Day, go through this 6-step retrospective and dive into your reader/writer/book worm/book dragon spirit. Agenda:
If your sprint was a book genre: Let's get your team's mood during the last sprint.
Last, current, and next reading: Let's know a bit more about your teammates. Do you share any book taste (or series or film)? Ask the team members to share as much as they can. If they do not have a book for one of the sections or any of them, suggest they add a movie, a series, or even a song
Last Retro Actions: Review the last retrospective actions together and decide whether to keep them if they are not done.
Let's tell our sprint story: To follow this activity, you need to understand how story dice work. Then follow these steps:
Roll the dice. Here are a few websites to do it online if you do not have the dice: https://davebirss.com/storydice/9dice.html
Create the member list order.
Team member by team member, ask them to:
Select a dice
Add the dice to the next place
Next to it, add the story (take into account you will have 3 dice for the introduction, 3 for the development & 3 for the conclusion)
When the story is finished, review if all of you agree.
What can we do to improve it? Now that you all agree on the story, it's time to consider what could have made it better. How?
Align with the team the top 3 pain points
Discuss each topic, finding actions to improve them
Assign a person responsible for that action
Give your review: As writers ask other authors to write a review about their books, ask your teammates to write a review of the retro, if they do not feel inspired in can be just a word, a star rating, etc.
Let me know how it works for you, and if you have any doubts or suggestions don't hesitate to reach me.
