Faster Updates on Same Board: Changes to synced copies and originals on the same board now reflect almost instantly.
OAuth2.0 Support for Jira Data Center
Miro supports OAuth2.0 for Jira Data Center integrations, replacing the deprecated OAuth1.0 and enabling access for previously blocked customers. Company admins with Jira system admin permissions can integrate by creating an OAuth2.0 app link in Jira and connecting via Client ID and Secret.
Support for Jira On-Prem via Custom OAuth2.0 Authorization
Enterprise customers can now integrate on-premise Jira instances with Miro using their own OAuth2.0-compatible authorization servers, such as Azure AD or Okta. This update supports more flexible authentication setups by removing the dependency on public Jira URLs and default auth flows.
Deprecation of OAuth 1.0 for Jira
Support for OAuth 1.0 authentication with Jira Cloud, Server, and Data Center will end on July 1, 2025; admins must switch to OAuth 2.0 to maintain Jira integration. This change aligns with Atlassian’s deprecation of OAuth 1.0 and improves security and compatibility.
Audit Logs for Board Exports and File Downloads
Enterprise admins can track “Board exported” and “File downloaded from board” events in audit logs to better monitor content takeout activity. File uploads are no longer included in audit logs and are instead available in the Content Log with Enterprise Guard.
Bugs & Other Improvements:
UX Improvements to Miro Admin Console Settings: We’ve introduced updates to improve clarity and reduce errors in the Miro Admin Console, including modal confirmations for destructive settings and clearer visibility into which team settings are editable by team admins. These changes aim to prevent accidental misconfigurations and support better admin distribution across organizations.
Weekly Update: Miro Aura, Enterprise Guard Updates and more
Miro Aura
Miro Aura is Miro’s updated product design language, which includes refreshed colors, fonts, icons, and visuals. This update brings a more cohesive and elevated design experience across the platform.
Enterprise Guard: Custom keyword data discovery & widget discovery
Enterprise Guard now supports custom keyword and widget type data discovery, enabling automatic board classification based on sensitive content. Admins can search for boards containing Jira cards, Azure cards, code blocks, and more to better protect intellectual property at scale.
Enterprise Guard: Intelligent Guardrail: Block Miro AI usage
We’ve added a new Intelligent Guardrail to Enterprise Guard. Admins can now block Miro AI usage automatically based on the sensitivity of board content to reduce the risk of data leakage and stay compliant with company policies.
